The beautiful wine village Termeno (Tramin) lies at 276 m above sea level and has a wine tradition that is hundreds of years old, the famous white wine Gewürztraminer has its origin in this area.

Worthwhile visiting are the parish church in the village centre with the highest stonewalled steeple in South Tyrol and the church St. Jakob that houses a Romanesque fresco cycle of the 13^th century representing mythical creatures.

Painters of the School of Bolzano decorated the interior of the Romanesque church St. Valentine with frescos.

The village museum shows exhibits of the village history.

Every two years during the carnival period the Egetmann procession takes place. The procession goes back to pre-Christian tradition, flour and soot are thrown at the spectators and they are frightened off by loud shouting.

Termeno also offers recreational activities for families, in summer the nice adventure open air pool is very popular.
